An update on how companies listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE) have performed this morning
As at 10.45 am today, Longhorn Kenya had appreciated the most in value. The book publisher was up 9.8% from yesterday's closing price to trade at KES 28.00. Other top gainers were Olympia Capital Holdings, Liberty Kenya (Former CFC Life), NIC bank and Eveready East Africa.
Kapchorua Tea, Athi River Mining, the self listed NSE, Equity Bank and Sameer Group (Firestone East Africa) were the top decliners. They shed 6.25%, 3.91%, 3.19%, 1.94%, 1.47% respectively this morning.
The five most traded shares (five biggest movers) are illustrated below. 1.6 million, 1.1 million, 401000, 293000, and 288000 shares of Kenya Commercial Bank, Equity Bank, East African Brewereies Limited, Safaricom and the NSE changed hands in the morning.
