Kenyans made up 10% of the Choiseul 100 Africa rankings. The Choiseul 100 Africa is an annual study carried out by the Paris based Institut Choiseul. It identifies and ranks the young African leaders of 40 years old and under, who will play a major role in the development of Africa in the near future. Growing business leaders, successful entrepreneurs, investors, etc who embody the dynamism and renewal of a whole continent and carry the hopes of an entire generation.
KCB CEO Joshua Oigara was 25th overall behind Peter Njonjo the General Manager of Coca Cola East Africa who was ranked 17th. Kamal Budhabhatti of Craft Silicon, Ken Njoroge of Cellulant and Gachao Kiuna CEO of Transcentury are the other Kenyans in the list. Behind them came Michael Macharia of Seven Seas Technology, Charles Njendu of Dimension Data and James Mworia the CEO of Centum Investments. Ori Okolloh of Omidyar Network and Alfred Ombudo of the world bank completed the top 100.
