A British firm based on Teesside says it's designed revolutionary new technology that can produce petrol using air and water.Air Fuel Synthesis in Stockton-on-Tees has produced five litres of petrol since August, but hopes to be in production by 2015 making synthetic fuel targeted at the motor sports sector.
The Consumer Federation of Kenya has called upon Kenyans to be wary of the food they consume in the wake of fears that certain foodstuff additives may be a health safety threat. The federation's secretary general Stephen Mutoro said yesterday during a consumer’s dialogue forum that consumers need protection from manufacturers who often hide the truth about risk in their products.
5. Obama Ridicules Romney in Last Debate
A feisty President Barack Obama ridiculed Mitt Romney as "all over the map" Monday on foreign policy, accusing him of telling untruths and backing "wrong" policies in their fiercely fought final debate. Obama and his Republican foe clashed on Iran's nuclear program, the Arab Spring, Libya and Syria, diverting at times to the domestic economy, as they sought to break the deadlock in the White House race two weeks from election day.

7. MRC Leaders Stuck in Remand-They Can't Raise Bond
Chairman of the Mombasa Republican Council and his wife have lost their bid to be free on bail until the court cases against them are concluded. At the time of going to press(The Standard), the two, Omar Mwamnwadzi and Maimuna Hamisi Mwavyombo were still in remand prison under heavy guard after failing to raise the KES 3 million bond and similar sureties each required for their freedom. Mombasa Chief Magistrate Stephen Riech set the tough bail conditions for the two and 35 other suspects in the case after declaring that the State has no compelling reason to deny the couple their constitutional right to be free on bail.
Akon will have an entourage of around 18 pax when he performs in Nairobi this coming weekend.
