The Nairobi Securities Exchange has today opened to increased activity in mid-morning trading.
The market normally opens for six hours from 9:00AM to 3:00PM.
By 11:38 AM this morning there were already 2.257 million KCB shares sold with the price remaining at KES 23 in 37 bids. There were already 385,300 Safaricom shares traded with the price at KES 3.40 in 39 bids. As at that time, 200,000 Centum shares had already been traded in 34 bids with the share price appreciating 25 cents (1.72%) to close at KES 14.80. 138,000 Barclays Bank of Kenya shares had already been moved in 24 bids and over 200,000 Mumias shares had been moved in 24 bids with the share price up 10 cents to KES 5.90
