Stocks Watch – 14 June 2012

The NSE 20 share index rose 13.74 points (0.38%) to 3,670.75 points from 3,657.01 points in yesterday's trading. The NSE all share index rose 0.74 points (0.94%) from 78.43 points to 79.17 points in yesterday's trading. The market closed with 29.071 million shares traded in 1,322 deals with an equity turnover of KES 568.92 million. The NSE has a market capitalization of KES 1.014 trillion.

In today's trading, the counters we will keep an eye on:

Kenya Airways: Kenya Airways today announce their annual financial results for the year 2011/2012. The company's financial performance is likely to affect the share's performance at the NSE.

Equity Bank: Equity Bank was the biggest mover in yesterday's trading with 16.16 million shares traded in yesterday's trading. The share price rose 50 cents (2.47%) in trading to close at KES 20.75 with a turnover of KES 339.07 million shares trading.

Pan Africa Insurance Holdings: The share price rose KES 2 (6.25%) in yesterday's trading with 1,500 shares traded in the day. The share was one of the biggest gainers in the day and we will keep an eye on it if there will be more to come.
