Today is a very busy day in the area of finance. Among the many announcements set to be made today are KQ’s results, the National Budget, and the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC) is expected to review pump prices for the period between 15th June 2012 to 15th July 2012.
The previous pump price review saw the price of super petrol increase by KES 2.63 to retail at KES 121.13, while diesel reduced minimally by 36 cents to retail at KES 108.44. The price of Kerosene, on the other hand, increased by 72 cents to retail at KES 87.00.
Based on reduction in international crude oil prices, we estimate that ERC will lower the price of super petrol to KES 113.83, diesel to KES 105.58 and kerosene to KES 80.94.
