INDICES

The NSE 20 Share Index today climbed 0.25 percent to 3,814.10 points from 3,804.54 points yesterday while the All Share Index also edged up, climbing 0.08 percent to 83.67 points from 83.60 points yesterday.

HIGHEST VOLUMES

Equity Bank was today the most traded share with 6.99 million shares while was second was Safaricom with 1.26 million shares from 791,600 shares yesterday. Third was Centum Investments with 1.18 million shares while fourth was EABL with 895,800 shares traded. CIC Insurance were the fifth most traded shares with 755,700 shares moving across the counter.

COUNTER WATCHLIST

  • British American Tobacco – The share lost 1 shilling today to KES 399 per share down from its highest of all time high of KES 400 hit yesterday.
  • KCB – The share today remained at its high of KES 25.25 per share similar to yesterday. This is the share’s highest price since 2008.
  • CFC Stanbic Holdings – The share closed today at yesterday’s price of KES 45 per share. The share had been the third highest gainer yesterday after it announced a 36 percent growth in earnings to 1.78 billion shillings on Monday.
