Former Kenya Wildlife Services (KWS) Director Julius Kipng'etich has been appointed Equity Bank's Chief Operations Officer (COO). Kipngetich, who is hailed for turning around KWS into a functional institution, has headed it since 2004.  He has been serving on the Equity Bank board as a non-executive director.

Kipng'etich, fondly referred to as Kip, is the winner of Chief Executive of the Year Award (2009). He was Managing Director of The Investment Promotion Council.

In a letter dated 3rd October and addressed to Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE), Equity Bank also appointed Samson Mishek Oduor as its new Finance Director. Oduor has served at the Standard Chartered Bank as the Regional Head of Audit for Africa before moving to EcoBank Transnational Inc. as Chief Finance Officer.
