How do internet solutions from our telecommunication companies compare to each other? Airtel Kenya currently doesn’t offer router internet solutions while Yu Mobile is yet to join the 3G network. So we will have to focus on what Safaricom and Orange have to offer.
Safaricom’s Internet Nyumbani 3G router is retailing at KES 5,999 and comes with 4GB free data. Orange D-Link Wireless router on the other hand currently retails at KES 4,690. This router requires one to plug in a dongle modem meaning one will incur an additional expense of acquiring a modem dongle. The Huawei Flybox retails at KES 12,999, Domino retails at KES 9,999, and the Sagem Livebox retails at KES 3,990.
