Closing Bell: Total Kenya Top Gainer While Longhorn Top Loser

Total Kenya was the top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). The counter registered a gain of 6.59% to end the day at KES 24.25. This was a KES 1.50 gain in share price.

Longhorn Kenya Limited closed the day as the worst performing share registering a drop of 8.81%. The counter closed with a share price of KES 7.25 which was a KES 0.70 drop on share price.

Safaricom Limited was the most traded share in the exchange today. It traded 9,936,700 shares which was 26.2% of all trades in the market.

 

The winners:

The other top gainers were: Carbacid Investments Limited (CARB), Olympia Capital Holdings Limited (OCH), Eveready East Africa Limited (EVRD) and Sasini Limited (SASN). Each closed at KES 21.25, 5.10, 4.25 and 16.50 respectively.

They ended the day at KES 7.25, 8.30, 89.00, 120.00 and 22.00 respectively.
