The Kenya shilling weekend against most currencies under our observation. The Kenya shilling weakened 0.2649% against the US dollar closing the week with importers having to pay a little more for imported goods over the weekend. The Kenya shilling also lost ground against the Sterling Pound and the Euro, down 0.1274% and 0.060% respectively. The Rand lost traction versus the local shilling, the Kenya shilling gaining 0.4721% against our South African counterparts.
The Kenya shilling lost some steam versus the Uganda shilling down 0.6645% over the two days but rebounded against the Tanzania shilling and Rwanda Franc, up 0.042% and 0.4803%
