The Nairobi Securities Exchange today continued its bullish run with the NSE 20 share index closing up 9.19 points (0.25%) to end the day at 3,708.88 points. Safaricom was the day's biggest mover with 6.432 million shares exchanging hands in 115 bids. The share price of Eastern Africa's biggest telco closed at the same price as it opened, KES 3.50 per share. Equity Bank had 2.724 million shares trading with the counter closing 25 cents up (1.22%) at KES 20.75. The KCB counter was also quite active with 1.08 million shares traded today. The share price shaved off 25 cents (1.05%) with the counter closing at KES 23.50. There were 744,800 Kenya Airways shares exchanged today in 69 bids with the counter closing 35 cents down (2.1%) at KES 16.35. The Kenya Power share was also active with 698,800 shares trading in 70 bids. The share lost 10 cents (0.66%) to close at KES 15. In total, shares worth KES 305.08 million were traded with the NSE closing with a market capitalization of KES 829.34 billion.
