Nairobi City Water and Sewerage Company had earlier announced that repairs on the supply pipe from Sasuma Dam were to be completed at the beginning of this week and that normal water supply was to resume by Wednesday, 23rd, May 2012.
Latest news from Nairobi Water state that the repairs are still on going, and are expected to be complete by Sunday 27th May 2012 after which normal water supply will resume.
The supply pipe from Sasuma Dam, which serves upper zones of Nairobi, was damaged following the heavy rains, leaving taps dry in major parts of Nairobi for more than two weeks now.
Nairobi Water had initially projected that the it would take 5 days to repair the pipe which was then extended to two weeks and it's now been three weeks, and the problem is yet to be solved.

The water supplier had released a water distribution schedule for the above affected areas which it doesn't seem to be following, forcing most of the above areas to go without water for more than two weeks now.
