This new month, Safaricom has rolled out a new offer that will earn you a 10% bonus on credit every time you top up via M-PESA. The promotion runs from 1st to 31st May, and is applicable for top-ups between KES 5 to 1,000.
This comes a day after the mobile service provider discontinued the sale of the unlimited data plan, saying that the decision was arrived at after a careful analysis of consumer trends. “As a business, we have found it necessary to focus our energies on providing quality data access to the majority of our internet users. This means that we have to sacrifice the provision of our unlimited bandwidth to a minority whose usage has had a negative impact on the overall data experience,” said the company’s CEO.
