Like the case of M-PESA-to-bank, Airtel Money allows you to conduct all your banking transactions in the comfort of your phone. You can withdraw and deposit cash into you account plus also transfer funds to another person’s bank account.

Bank’s partnering with Airtel Money mobile banking include:

• Cooperative Bank
• Equitorial Commercial Bank
• Equity Bank
• Housing Finance
• Kenya Commercial Bank
• Standard Chartered Bank

You have to be registered for mobile banking in order to link your bank account to Airtel Money.

Below is the procedure of depositing cash in your bank account

1. Select Bank in your Airtel Money
2. Go to ‘From Airtel Money’
3. Go to ‘To own bank account’
4. Enter amount you want to deposit
5. Enter our PIN
6. Finally confirm transaction.

Your bank account will be updated automatically.

You can also transfer cash to another person’s account, and it doesn’t necessarily require one to be registered to mobile banking. It’s actually like sending money to another person, but directly to their bank account.  Below is the procedure:

1. Select ‘Bank’ in your Airtel Money menu
2. Select ‘From Airtel Money’
3. Select ‘To another bank account’
4. You will then enter the recipient's name, account number, bank code and the amount you are sending
5. You will then confirm the transaction

A confirmation message will be sent to the sender while the recipient will confirm receipt in their bank account

Airtel Money also facilitates transfer of funds from your bank account to your Airtel Money account or that of another person. Below is the procedure:

1. Select ‘Bank’ from your Airtel menu
2. Select ‘From bank account’
3. Select ‘To Airtel Money Account’
4. Enter recipient's number. This could either be your number or that of another person
5. You will then enter the amount, confirm transaction and enter your PIN.

You will then receive a message confirming the transfer.

Once funds are transferred to your account, you have the option of either withdrawing from an Airtel agent or from any PesaPoint ATM.

Banking with Airtel Money also facilitates checking your bank information through your phone.
