Bata Home, a new service by Bata that gives you the freedom to buy shoes from the comfort of your Home or office, was officially launched yesterday evening by Communications PS, Bitange Ndemo and Bata Mananging Director, Fernando Garcia.
Bata customers no longer have to visit Bata shoe stores as they can now simply visit www.batakenya.com. Here a selection shoes of their choice will be available. Once payment is made online the shoes will be delivered to their home or office.
Speaking at the launch, Bata Managing Director, Fernando Garcia said, “For many people in Kenya online shopping is something very new because for the last couple of years they used to buy shoes from the stores….. The world is changing and most people have computers and ipads. We are going to have our industry in this s-commerce Africa region.”
Bata has partnered with Aramex Kenya Ltd, a leading global provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions, to deliver your orders to Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and Nakuru. After you have completed your online order, delivery shall be processed within 72 hours. In the event that your address is inaccessible, Aramex will deliver your order to Bata branch nearer to you where you can collect your order.
Kenyans in the diaspora can use Bata Home service to buy and send shoes to their family and friends in Kenya.
To celebrate the launch of Bata Home, Bata is offering free shipping on Kenyan orders with a receipt value of KES 1899 and above. The free shipping is a limited period promotional offer. For orders worth less than KES 1,899, a shipping charge will apply based on location.
Batas’ online catalogue contains shoes for ladies, men and kids and also accessories. At a go, you can buy a maximum of three pairs.
The Bata Home Service will in the next few months also be rolled out in Bata retail stores where if a customer cannot find the merchandise they are looking for, they can register their details at the store and the merchandise will be delivered to them to them at their home or office.
