Businessmen in Moi Avenue’s Assanand building yesterday lost property of unknown value when a blast brought down the premises in which they operate. The Monday 1315hrs incident left more than 30 people hospitalized with at least four of those in serious condition.
The building, which was a host to many assorted business stalls most of which were clothes stalls and music shops was destroyed,with the fire gutting down most of what remained.
The building was popular for its trendy clothes and shoes that most stalls sold. It also housed phone shops and money transfer agents that served Moi Avenue street.
