Buy What You Want To Watch With DStv

DStv will soon start selling specific programmes to its subscribers, under the ‘video on demand’ model.

As posted in the Business Daily, DStv subscribers will use their remote controls to bring up a list pf pre-loaded programmes from which they can select the ones to buy.

This will give subscribers freedom to watch what they want above what DStv currently provides in its channel bouquets.

As posted in the Business Daily, MultiChoice Kenya General Manager, Dr Danny Mucira said, “Video on demand is very relevant in the pay television market and we will be introducing it to the Kenyan market at the opportune time.”

Under the ‘video on demand’ module is system that allows users to select and watch content on demand, and they can also download TV content to a device such as a computer.

This module might though face stiff competition from local DVD movies and series retailers who sell copies of TV content and movies at KES 50 per DVD.
