The day’s most active counter was Kenya Commercial Bank which moved 5.17 million shares. This was followed by Safaricom Limited which moved 3.26 million shares. Uchumi Supermarket Limited followed with 1.94 million shares traded. Next were Equity Bank with 1.31 million shares traded and EABL with 50,000 shares traded.
It is worth noting that Mumias Sugar Company has a new Managing Director with effect from 1st July 2012. The new MD Mr. Peter Kebati has been the company’s Finance Director since 2003.
