The NSE 2o share index today closed 40.73 points up (1.12%) at 3,677.81 points to continue its upward trend. In today’s trading, a total of 15.24 million shares were traded with an equity turnover of KES 353.58 million. The NSE closed with a market capitalization of KES 824.74 billion. KCB was the day’s biggest mover with 2.75 million shares exchanging hands in 198 bids. The counter however closed without any share price changes, remaining the same as yesterday’s KES 24.50 per share. Transcentury Limited had 1.79 million shares trading today in 15 bids. The counter had a turnover of KES 44.79 million and the share closed KES 1 up (4.17%) at KES 25. The Mumias Sugar counter remained active, 1.76 million shares with a value of KES 9.76 exchanging hands to close 5 cents up (0.91%) at KES 5.55. Kenya power had 1.561 million shares trading in 35 bids, the share price closing 25 cents down (1.64%) at KES 15.
