Safaricom Limited was again the day’s biggest mover with 5.12 million shares being traded in the session. The share closed at KES 3.30. Safaricom was followed by KCB with 4.56 million shares being traded, closing at the same level as yesterday at KES 23.75. Mumias Sugar Company had 2.6 million shares being traded, closing 55 cents up at KES 6.10. KenGen was next with 1.624 million shares being traded with the share closing at KES 8.00, 5 cents higher than it closed yesterday. Barclays Bank of Kenya came fifth with 1.55 million shares being traded, the share closed at KES 12.95 unchanged from yesterday’s closing position
It is interesting to note that Mumias Sugar Company was among the most traded shares and also among the biggest gainers, it closed at KES 6.10 9.08% higher than its level yesterday.
