Safaricom Limited was the day’s biggest mover with a total of 13.43 million shares exchanging hands in 127 bids. The share price closed 2.86% down, losing 10 cents to close at KES 3.40. KCB had 2.86 million shares traded in the six-hour trading session at the Nairobi Securities Exchange to close 25 cents up (1.15%) at KES 22. The share has rallied from two consecutive days of dropping in value. There were 2.19 million Equity Bank shares traded in the day in 94 bids. The share price however remained constant closing at KES 20.50. Cooperative Bank had 2.045 shares traded off its counter, the share closing 10 cents down (0.69%) to end the day at KES 14.35. There were 1.19 million Barclays bank trading in the day, the share closing 10 cents down (0.76%) and the share closing at KES 13.10.
