INDICES
The NSE 20 Share Index today climbed 0.77 percent to 3,895.86 points from 3,855.14 points from 3,865.76 points at the close of last week while the All Share Index was at 85.62 points.

HIGHEST VOLUMES
Safaricom shares were today the most traded with 12.05 million shares traded while Mumias Sugar were second with 2.42 million shares from 8.05 million shares yesterday. CIC Insurance were third most traded with 1.13 million shares from 1.02 million shares yesterday while fourth were KCB with 617,000 shares. Equity Bank shares were the fifth most traded with 391,400 shares across the counter.
COUNTER WATCH
- Crown Paints – The shares today closed at their 3 year high of KES 36 similar to yesterday. Since June the shares have rallied to trade above 30 shillings per share compared to the 25 shilling range from late last year into the first quarter of this year.
- NIC Bank Rights – The rights were for a fourth day one of the highest gaining stocks at the market after edging up 6.7 percent to close at KES 11.15 up from KES 10.45 yesterday.
- Kenya Reinsurance – One day after closing at a 2-year high of KES 11.25 yesterday, the shares were today the top losers at the NSE, losing 4 percent down to KES 10.80 from KES 11.25 yesterday
