INDICES
The NSE 20 Share Index today dropped 0.2 percent to 3,888.14 points from 3,897.45 points yesterday while the All Share Index also declined by 0.55 percent to 85.35 points from 85.82 points yesterday.

HIGHEST VOLUMES
Pan Africa Insurance shares were the most traded with 3.4 million shares while Scangroup were second with 1.77 million shares. Mumias Sugar were third with 1.7 million shares down from 1.29 million shares yesterday while Safaricom were fourth with 1.65 million shares. CIC Insurance shares were fifth most traded with 931,700 shares.
COUNTER WATCH
- NIC Bank – The share edged up further by one shilling to close the day at KES 35.75. This is only one shilling lower than the share’s highest price of this year. The last two weeks have seen NIC shares on a steady climb while the NIC Rights Issue has been underway.
- City Trust – The share closed the day at KES 350 similar to yesterday. Yesterday saw the share climb by one of the biggest one-day margins seen at the stock market this year. It rose by 70 shillings or 20 percent to close at the current KES 350.
- NIC Bank Rights – The rights were the biggest losers at the stock market today, dropping 10.31 percent to KES 13.05 from KES 14.55 at yesterday’s close.
