Closing Bell: Britam takes the lead as Top Gainer While Umeme Declines

British- American Investments makes a remarkable turnaround in its performance today. It has greatly improved from the worst performing share to the best performing share as the market came to a close today. Britam ended the day at KES 22.25 having gained 9.88% (KES 2.00) in its share price.

Umeme took the lead as being the worst performer in the exchange. The counter registered a drop of 8.16% to end the day at KES 17.45. This is a KES 1.55 loss per share.

 

The winners:

The other top gainers were: Unga Group Limited (UNGA), Sasini Limited (SASN), Equity Bank Limited (EQTY) and Uchumi Supermarkets Limited (UCHM). Each closed at KES 47.00, 16.00, 50.00 and 10.50 respectively.
