CMA to Give MBA Students Internships

The Capital Markets Authority (CMA) will from May be giving internship opportunities to Master of Business Administration (MBA). The continental exclusive package is open for African students studying MBA in different Business School around the world.

The leadership development programme is a partnership of CMA and The Tony Elumelu Foundation in Nigeria. The program will facilitate placement of MBA students from business schools around the world.

In a press release by CMA, Chief Executive Ms. Stella Kilonzo says the program is designed to introduce some of the world’s brightest young business talent to executive suites across Africa, as part of efforts to improve the competitiveness of Africa’s private sector.

Students will be assigned tasks that they will be expected to complete over a period of 10 weeks. The African Markets Internship Programme (AMIP) is a flagship initiative of The Tony Elumelu Foundation’s Leadership Development Department.  AMIP places MBA talent from top-tier business schools in Africa, Europe, and North America in fast-growing African-owned businesses and private sector-facing government institutions in Dakar, Accra, Abuja, Lagos, Douala, Lusaka, Kigali, and Nairobi.
