Deloitte in East Africa has launched the East Africa Deloitte Budget Championship. For the 2nd year running, the professional services firm is conducting the budget championship whereby participants will compose essays themed on “strategic forward thinking and providing innovative solutions” answering the question: If you were a CEO of a professional services firm, what three things would you change and why?
The company has invited youth, both graduates and undergraduates to write essays between 1,000 and 3,000 words in length detailing their opinions on what changes can be made to improve a professional services firm if they were thrust into the CEO position. Students studying full-time in universities are eligible to compete whereby 5 top essays will be shortlisted in the first stage by a panel of judges then the participants will appear before the judges to pitch for their ideas.
Awards
Cash prizes and trophies will be awarded to the winners. And all participants will receive certificates of participation. In addition, the winner from each country will qualify for a full time internship program at Deloitte in East Africa and will also be invited to the Deloitte East Africa Budget Seminar in June 2012. The winning essays for each category will also be published on www.deloitte.com and the East African Budget Insight recognizing the finalists.
You may not be eligible for the competition, but you sure do have some thoughts. What do you think you’d do to improve services?
