Below is a table showing the performance of the Kenya Shilling against the major international currencies and the currencies of our neighboring countries in the last two sessions, Friday 8 June and Monday 11 June, 2012.

The Kenya Shilling closed on a mixed note, losing against the major currencies but gaining against some of the neighboring currencies under our observation.

The Shilling dropped 0.1068% against the US Dollar to close the day trading at an average price of KES 84.8125 per US Dollar. It also dropped 1.235% against the Euro and 0.7688% against the Sterling Pound. The Kenya Shilling rose 4.688% against the South African Rand to trade at KES 10.1657 per Rand at the close of the week.

Regionally, the Kenya Shilling dropped 0.2275% against the Uganda Shilling, gained 0.2907% against the Tanzania one and dropped 0.1251% against the Rwanda Franc.
