Below is a table showing the performance of the Kenya Shilling against the major international currencies and the currencies of our neighbouring countries in the last two days, Monday 11 June and Tuesday 12 June 2012.

The Kenya Shilling slipped against the US Dollar in yesterday's trading, down 0.508% to trade at an average of KES 85.2431 per dollar. The Kenya Shilling however recorded a 0.727% gain against the Euro, trading cheaper at KES 106.466  per Euro. The Shilling gained 0.616% against the South Africa Rand but lost 0.003% of its value against the Sterling Pound in yesterday's trading.

Regionally, the Kenya Shilling lost against all the currencies under our observation. The Kenya Shilling lost 0.425% against the Uganda Shilling, 0.568% against the Tanzania Shilling and 0.629% against the Rwanda Franc to round up what was a mixed day of trading.
