Below is a table showing the performance of the Kenya Shilling yesterday, comparing the mean exchange rates yesterday to those from the previous day, Friday 15 June 2012.

The Kenya Shilling yesterday gained against the US Dollar in trading. The Shilling rose 0.29% against the USD to trade at a mean of KES 84.8847 per dollar. The shilling however slipped against the Euro, the Sterling Pound and the SA Rand, down 0.24%. 0.68% and 0.53% respectively with importers having to pay more for the foreign currencies.

Regionally, the Kenya Shilling lost value against the Uganda Shilling, down 0.07% to trade at a mean of USHS 29.3929 per Kenya Shilling. It however gained against the Tanzania Shilling and the Rwanda Franc yesterday, up 0.23% and 1.12% respectively.
