The Kenya Shilling weakened against all the currencies under our observation over the two days. The US Dollar continued to gain against the local currency, the Kenya Shilling losing 0.1384% of its value versus the greenback. The Kenya Shilling also lost ground against the Sterling Pound, the Euro and the SA Rand, down 0.5931%, 1.077% and 1.842% respectively making imports generally pricier.
The Kenya Shilling also lost value against the currencies of our neighbouring, down 0.2121% and 0.069% against the Uganda Shilling and the Tanzania Shilling. The Rwanda Franc also gained ground against the Kenya Shilling, our local currency shaving off 1.035% of its value.
