The Kenya Shilling continued its negative run against most of the currencies under our observation. To the anguish of importers, the Kenya Shilling continued its slide against the US Dollar, down 0.242% against the greenback. The Kenya Shilling however recorded a slight gain against the Euro, up 0.708% versus the European currency. The Kenya Shilling lost 0.161% and 1.332% against the Sterling Pound and the South African Rand yesterday.
Regionally, the Kenya Shilling faired fairly badly, losing 0.201% against our biggest trading partners in the regions Uganda. The Kenya Shilling lost 0.116% versus the Tanzania Shilling and 0.24% against the Rwanda Franc.
