Data from the Central Bank of Kenya shows that the shilling has remained stable against foreign currencies this week, exchanging between KES 84.20 and KES 84.25 against the US dollar and strengthening 1.19 percent against the Sterling Pound to exchange at today’s rate of KES 130.76 from KES 132.33 on Monday. The shilling has also strengthened 0.8 percent against the Euro to stand at today’s rate of KES 102.65 to the Euro from KES 103.45 on Monday.
Regionally, the Tanzania Shilling has strengthened 0.6 percent against the Kenya Shilling to exchange at the rate of 18.72 Tanzania Shillings to 1 Kenya shilling today up from the rate of 18.84 Tanzania Shillings on Monday. The Uganda Shilling has weakened 0.85 percent against the shilling and is now exchanging at the rate of 29.59 Uganda Shillings down from a rate of 29.34 on Monday.
