From the above we can see that the Kenya shilling weakened against the US dollar by 0.025%. The Kenya shilling also weakened against the Sterling pound and the Euro with Kenyans having to fork out more of the local currency for the foreign denominations, 0.3768% and 0.3346% respectively. The Kenya shilling also weakened against the South African rand with Kenyans having to pay an extra 5 cents per rand. The shilling also weakened against the Uganda and Tanzania shillings as well as the Rwandan Franc, with the former French colony’s currency going 0.18 cents cheaper. Hopefully the Kenya shilling will shore up the loss as the week goes along.
