Against international currencies under our observation, the Kenya shilling registered mixed performance yesterday. The Shilling lost ground against the Euro, the Sterling Pound and the South African Rand, down 0.263%, 0.144% and 0.3% respectively. The Kenya Shilling however gained against the US Dollar, closing up 0.161% to trade at a mean of KES 85.5111 per dollar.
Regionally, the Kenya Shilling performed better than the previous day. The Kenya Shilling lost 0.241% of its value against the Uganda Shilling to trade at an average of USHS 29.0022 per Kenya Shilling. The local currency however traded at an improved price against the Tanzania Shilling and Rwanda Franc, gaining 0.0.34% and 0.452% in yesterday’s trading.
