Thanks guys for the positive response on our previous post on: Join Safaricom’s Postpay Plan and Save.
I thought it would be ideal to give you some more information that would make it easier to use this Postpay plan plus enable you to get the most from it.
As pointed out on the previous post, if you take the Postpay 1000 plan you will get:
• 900 On-Net minutes
• 100 Off-Net minutes
• 100 On-Net SMS
• 100 MB of data
• 100 Bonga Points on sign up.
The idea is to keep your credit limit as low as possible, preferably below KES 1,500.
Take for instance you use up all the 100 MB of data within less than a month, Safaricom will bill for any additional data you use as per the prepay data plan up to a credit limit of about KES 1,500 after which your account will be due to disconnection. It is though important to point out that Safaricom will notify you on a regular basis of the status of your credit limit.
If you exhaust any of the above, say for example the 100 On-Net SMS, and still continue to text, you will be allowed to use up to a certain limit, beyond which your account will be disconnected and you wont be able to use the remaining services, i.e remaining on-Net and off-Net minutes, data, etc. To avoid disconnection, try to limit yourself to the allocated number of minutes, SMS and data bundle.
100 MB of data is a small amount for most smart phone users so you can subscribe to the virtually unlimited mobile internet bundles.
I hope you will find this information useful and in case of any queries do not hesitate to post a comment and we shall get back to you.
