GOtv Lowers Price of Decoders Further

GOtv has slashed the price of its decoders by 29 per cent; bring down the price to KES 2,199 from KES 3,102.

This comes after a recent price reduction on GOtv decoders and a reduction in GOtv monthly subscription rate on 17 August 2012, when the company was marking its first anniversary in Kenya.

The latest reduction in decoder prices is aimed at enabling more Kenyans access quality entertainment and information on the digital platform as Kenya migrates to the digital world.

GOtv general manager Felix Kyengo in a statement said, “With this kinda of pricing, GOTv has positioned itself as a leader in the digital arena and will play a pivotal role in accelerating Kenya’s digital migration by the end of 2012.

The move by GOtv to lower its decoder prices comes after Star Times announced that it is offering free decoders to former GTV and Smart TV subscribers who are willing to surrender their old decoders and pay upfront for any channel bouquet of their choice.
