Bata Home, a new service by Bata that gives you the freedom to buy shoes from the comfort of your home or office and have them delivered to you, was officially launched on Friday, 17 August, 2012 by Communications PS Bitange Ndemo and Bata Managing Director Fernando Garcia.

Below is a simple procedure of how to go about using the service:

Step 1: Visit www.batakenya.com

Step 2: Register for the service by clicking on the ‘Welcome Guest’ tab situated at the top right corner and click on ‘Not Yet Registered’ to register an account with Bata Kenya. This account will be used for future Bata Home purchase.

Step 3: Choose the product you wish to buy from the online catalogue. There’s a selection of shoes for ladies, men and children and also accessories. Click on the shoe you wish to buy, specify the size and quantity, at a go you can buy a maximum of three pairs, and add to cart.

Step 4: Check out.

Step 5: Key in shipping and payment details. This includes:

1. Buyer details: Depending on whether you are registered i.e. existing user, or shopping as a guest, choose either of the options. For Guest, provide e-mail address.
2. Shipping and billing address: Input the shipping and billing details and verify that they are correct. Click ‘submit’. If you wish to change your order you can click manage cart and make the necessary amendments.
3. Shopping option: Choose normal courier. Click submit
4. Payment option: Choose a payment method supported by Pesapal, these include M-Pesa, Airtel Money, Orange Money, Yu Cash, elma, Equity Bank VISA, etc and click ‘pay now’.

Step 6: Click pay now and follow the instructions

Step 7: Based on the payment option you choose, you will receive a confirmation massage. You will also receive an e-mail confirmation with your order details.

This service is open to anyone. Kenyans in the diaspora can buy their loved ones shoes through the service which will then be delivered to them on their behalf.

To celebrate the launch of Bata Home, Bata Kenya is offering free shipping on Kenyan orders with a receipt value of KES 1,899 and above. The free deliver offer is though only valid for a limited period. Orders worth less than KES 1,899 will incur an additional charge based on location.

Shoes will be delivered by Aramex Kenya, a leading global provider of comprehensive transportation and logistics solutions. Areas under the delivery network include: Nairobi, Mombasa, Kisumu, Eldoret and Nakuru. Shoes will be delivered to the recipients’ home or office and if the customer’s address is inaccessible, the order shall be delivered to a Bata branch nearest to the recipient. Shoes will be delivered within 3 working days after completing an online order.
