Nairobi Water Company has issued a public notice, on their facebook page, that there will be an interruption of water supply due to shut-down at the Kabete Water Treatment Plant.
The aim of the shutdown is to relocate the water pipes around Museum Hill –Uhuru Highway Interchange to facilitate construction of the Thika Road Super Highway.
Interruption is scheduled for Thursday, August 2, 2012 from 8.00am to Friday, August 3, 2012 at 7.00am (a period of 24 hours).
The following areas will be affected by the shutdown:
- Westlands
- Parklands
- University of Nairobi –Parklands Law Campus
- University of Nairobi – Main Campus – Central Catering Unit
- Areas along Chiromo Road
- Areas along Waiyaki Way and Church road
NCWS regrets any inconvenience caused by the interruption in water supply and requests all customers in the affected areas to use the available water sparingly during the period of interruption.
