It’s Cheaper to Pay Your Postpaid Electricity Bill through Airtel Money and Yu Cash

M-Pesa recently revised their electricity pay bill rates upwards making it the most expensive electricity pay bill option in Kenya.

Orange Money on the other hand has a standard rate of KES 30 for any amount paid to Kenya Power.

This leaves Airtel Money and Yu Cash. These two mobile money transfer providers actually have the most affordable rates in the market.

The two will actually charge you nothing to pay your electricity bill, saving you the trouble of having to queue for hours to pay your electricity bill at no extra cost.

In comparison the M-pesa rates are higher than those of Orange Money when it comes to settling Electricity bills of over KES 35,000, though considering the fact that most households do not incur electricity bills amounting to over KES 35,000 gives M-Pesa an added advantage over Orange Money.
