Orange Mobile yesterday announced that it had simplified its wireless internet bundles in an alignment of its data bundles. This also meant an upward review of the prices of some of its unlimited internet plans. Let’s compare these adjustments to what the other mobile service providers have to offer.
The first adjustment was the aligning of data bundles meaning that Orange subscribers can now purchase 50MB, 100MB, 500MB, 1GB, 5GB, 10GB, 15GB and 20GB. Some of these bundle sizes differ with what Safricom and Airtel Kenya allow their subscribers to purchase. We will though compare their prices where applicable.
There was also an upward review of the Orange weekly bundle on internet Everywhere 3G+to KES 1,200 from KES 990, reflecting a KES 210 price increment.
In comparison to Orange new weekly unlimited rate, you will save KES 300 purchasing weekly unlimited internet from Airtel. Airtels’ unlimited 7 days plan costs KES 900.
There was a KES 11 increase in the price of Orange daily mobile unlimited bundle from KES 39 to KES 50. Yu Mobile offer similar bundle at KES 39.
Orange new bundle and prices will take effect on 23rd October 2012.
