Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is expected to release the Consumer Price Index (CPI) and inflation rates for March 2012 any time today.
The Consumer Price Index for the month of February 2012 decreased by 0.04% from 130.82 in January 2012 to 130.76 in February 2012 while the Inflation rate stood at 16.69%, a decrease from 18.31% in January 2012.
The price of food and non alcoholic drinks index fell by 0.3% in February 2012 while housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels index went up marginally by 0.2% and the transport index went down by 0.91% between January 2012 and February 2012.
