M-Pesa Revises KPLC Postpaid Bill Payment Charges.

Unlike in the past when your PostPaid electricity account was updated in 48 hours of payment via  M-Pesa, you account will now be updated in approximately one hour.

M-Pesa has also introduced new PostPaid electricity payment charges.

To pay your electricity bill via M-PESA:

  1. Select “Pay Bill” from the M-Pesa menu
  2. Enter the Kenya Power business number 888888
  3. Enter the full Kenya Power account number that you would like to pay for
  4. Enter the amount you wish to pay (between KSh 50 to KSh 70,000)
  5. Enter your M-Pesa PIN
  6. Confirm that all the details are correct and press Ok.
  7. You will receive a confirmation SMS from M-Pesa immediately. Your Kenya Power account will be updated within 1 hour.
