Revenue Benefits Authority (RBA) partnership with MPESA has seen the Mbao (20) pension scheme grow by 3,000%

The mbao pension scheme is a voluntary retirement savings plan with a minimum daily contribution of KES 20 targeting workers in the informal sector. The contributions can be remitted via MPESA or Airtel money service.

A member of the scheme is to at least save KES 100 per week and a minimum of KES 500 per month.
