Sasini Tea And Coffee Limited Limited (SASN) was the top gainer at the Nairobi Securities Exchange (NSE). It ended the day at KES 12.70, up 9.96% from yesterday's close of KES 11.55.

The other top gainers were: Kapchorua Tea Company Limited (KAPC), Olympia Capital Holdings Limited (OCH), Mumias Sugar Company Limited (MSC),  and Kenya Electricity Generating Company -Kengen- (KEGN). Each closed at KES 159.00, 6.50, 1.90 and 10.60 respectively.

The losers:

The counters that shed the most value were: Standard Group Limited (SGL), British American Tobacco Kenya Limited (BAT), National Bank Of Kenya Limited (NBK), Home Afrika Limited  (HAFR), and Total Kenya Limited (TOTL). They ended the day at KES 33.50, 900.00, 23.25, 4.35 and 26.00 respectively.

Indices

Both the FTSE NSE 25 and 15 Indices registered a drop as seen above. The 25 (light blue) fell from yesterday's 212.31 to 211.92. The 15 declined from 212.27 to 211.11.
