Nairobi Water Company‘s mission is to ensure reliability and excellence in provision of water and sewerage services in the city. While I cannot vouch for them when it comes to sewerage services, I can definitely do so in regards to water provision services.
I am a resident of Dagoreti Corner and for years we had received the worst form of water rationing. Our taps hardly flowed with water and we were forced to rely on private water vendors whose water was very expensive. I used to spend close to KES 1,000 a month on water alone, an expense that seriously dented my budget.
I took the initiative of writing an e-mail to Nairobi Water to explain my plight in regard to water supply in Dagoreti Corner. I received a response from them within 48 hours and they assured me that they will address the problem. They went a step further and gave me the mobile numbers of two engineers who had been assigned the case and informed me that I could contact them in case of any queries.
The problem was solved within two weeks and water now flows through our taps at least four days a week, something that hasn’t been experienced in Dagoreti Corner since time memorial.
Kudos Nairobi Water for addressing my plight.
