Mr. Munir Sheikh Ahmed has been appointed the new managing Director of the National Bank of Kenya.  In a letter to the Nairobi Securities Exchange dated 7th of June, the outgoing Managing Director informed the Capital Markets Authority and Nairobi Securities Exchange about the Development.

Mr Munir has worked at Standard Chartered Bank for 16 years, mainly in South Africa, where he was director in charge of regional transaction banking for Africa’s operation.

Mr. Marambii describes his successor in the letter as one who brings with him some rich banking experience from the Standard Chartered Bank. Munir will take up over from Marambii  who retires in December this year, on the 1st of August.
