Ecobank in the last four months has rolled out a series of innovative products all aimed at diversifying its services and response to customer needs.
These include the Retail Internet Banking, Salary Advance Account and the launch of the Visa Chip cards. In the wake of fraud cases in banking, Ecobank launched the Visa chip on all its card products which assures its customers of security whenever they use their cards. Ecobank Kenya is the first bank to have this technology on all its card products.
Ecobank Kenya Managing Director Tony Okpanachi says that the bank designed the Salary Advance Account specifically for salaried people to enable them access funds at times of emergencies which can be used to pay for medical expenses, school fees, car repairs and purchase of household goods and equipment.
The bank's innovative Internet Banking service allows customers to perform several functions including online payments, international transfers, loan management, cheque book request, exchange rate inquiry and others.
Ecobank launched its 24th branch in the country on the 3rd of April in Karen and says it will continue to focus on a sustained branch expansion program and roll of customer friendly and exciting products.
The bank which was voted 'the Best Emerging Markets Bank in Arica 2012' by The Global Financial Magazine was incorporated in Lome, Togo as Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI) and now has presence in 32 African countries.
