In a press release dated April 10^th 2012, the new board of the Nairobi Securities Exchange, at its first official board meeting, re-elected Mr. Eddy Njoroge as the Chairman. Mr. Njoroge joined the board on June 27 2008 and became Chairman in 2009. The board also re-elected Mr. Bob Karina as the Vice Chairman of the board. He had previously served on the Board of Directors from 2001-2003 and from 2008-2009.

The Board of Directors is comprised as follows:

9. Mr. Peter Mwangi – Chief Executive

Mr. Eddy Njoroge has been the Managing Director of the Kenya Electricity Generating Company (KenGen) since March 2003 and is a board member of several leading companies in East Africa in the fields of insurance, manufacturing and banking. Mr. Bob Karina is the Executive Director of Faida Investment Bank and is also a board member of the Central Depository and Settlement Corporation (CDSC).
