The biggest gainer is Kenya Orchards currently selling at KES 41.5 a 9.93% rise over the last price of KES 37.75. Although the number of shares exchanged is the minimum 100 shares that can be traded at a time. The highest price Centum has traded at is KES 72 today. The NSE which recently self listed has retailed at a price of between KES 25.25 and 24 representing a gain of at least 2.12% to 7.44% over the last closing price of KES 23.50
CIC Insurance has pending bids (parties wanting to buy) of over 500,000 shares at between KES 10.35 and 10.10. The Insurer has recently announced that it intends to invest part of its proceeds from the KES 5.5 billion bond it issued in Real Estate.
On the other hand, Williamson tea has pending asks (people willing to sell) of up to 8000 shares. The tea sector in Kenya has been facing a drop in prices.
The NSE in Kenya is looking up with 37 of the 61 listed companies displaying price gains. This includes blue chips like Equity, Barclays and Britam.
